TGIF
Well another Holiday has come and gone. It was, as predicted, a very full and surprisingly stressful day. Tarzan lived up to his name by destroying everything in his path. On the other hand, the food was great. We ate 2 times and everything was scrumptious. We have turkey hangovers today. I did not even venture out for any bargains today on Black Friday. I did just catch the news headlines and saw that a Wal-Mart worker was killed as greedy shoppers trampled him. I guess that says it all about our culture. And that it happened at a Wal-Mart is just the icing on the cake. "Every day low prices and a funeral"! So make sure you bring out your body armour and shotgun next time you go to Wal-Mart. Good thing that I don't shop there........

Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving. Simply said that means a lot. I am thankful for my wonderful husband, beautiful son, great parents, close family ties and good friends. I am thankful for everything in my life: good health, a home, a great life. Now that the mushy stuff is over, bring on the grub. First course, my wonderful husband is cooking us French Toast. Yum!! Have a great day. BTW, huge amounts of coupons and fliers for Black Friday. Will I attempt to brave the crowds. Stay tuned to find out........

T minus 1 Day and counting.....
Well Turkey Day is almost here. I have been craving turkey dinner and all the fixings for about a month now. It will be a fun day, but very full. We are spending time with both our family's tomorrow and should end the day completely exhausted. I love the holidays. As promised, the picture of my finale cake. I dropped this off to the hard working staff ( SIL included) at Citizens Bank today for their enjoyment. It was a fun cake, lots of goodies. I have one more cake to decorate tonight and one more still to deliver today. Have a great Thanksgiving and I hope to post a pic of Tarzan stuffing his face.

Calling All Turkeys
So here is #2 Turkey Day cake. It literally started out looking like a Number 2, but I was able to use my superior talents and make it look like a turkey. Tomorrow is my last Wilton class for this course and we will not be meeting until the New Year. After that course, I will be training be be a Wilton Method Instructor and will be hopefully teaching at our local Michael's. I have a finally cake to decorate tomorrow and I will be posting a pic of it.
Cheap Mama Tip O' The Day
Here is another tip that will save you big on your next grocery trip. I get 3 Sunday papers. My local and Pittsburgh and Philly. You would be amazed just how much more coupons the big city papers have in them. For example, my local paper had $0.75 coupon off Energizer batteries. The Philly paper had the exact coupon, but is was worth $1.50. Why, I don't know. Our local paper has coupons for tomato trees and support bras, none of these ads are in the big city papers. It might cost you $3.50 to buy the extra papers, but it is worth it. Last week alone, I saved over $47 in coupons on my last grocery trip. Oh, plus if you shop at a grocery store that has fuel rewards, you can save $0.20 per gallon of gas!

Mighty Putty and the Cake
Well just let me say that Mighty Putty is from the Gods. This stuff saved my sanity today. My son has been able to break all of the childproofing stuff that we have put up. More specially the latches to the pantry door and the entertainment center door. The adhesive parts on the safety latches, basically does not stick anymore. So with me being the genius that I am, thought of using Mighty Putty. After using my 40% coupon at Michael's Crafts, I rushed home to put Mighty Putty to the test. I am happy to report that the latches are now securely stuck!!
I also made this beautiful Thanksgiving cake tonight. 1 of 3 that I am making this week.
Cheap Mama Tip O' The Day
Okay, I have promised to share my incite on being cheap. I have vowed to never pay full price again for anything. So my tip today is to check out on-line coupon sites such as Mommy Savers and Mommy Saves Big ( sites listed on left of page). n For example, Kmart is offering a $5.00 coupon of a purchase of $50. To go one better, they are also offering $10 off $100. So after burning through enough of my ink cartridge, we are off to the stores with coupons in hand. All it takes some planning and you can save on just about anything!!

Tarzan of the Apes
Well, as my long day comes to a close, we end it with a tubby. After downing a sippy cup full of chocolate milk, my son was waring most of it. Chocolate and sticky, a bath was a great idea. We made it through tub time without a hitch. Upon returning to his bedroom to get dressed, my son preceded to squat on his Horsey Rug and do not only Number 1 but also Number 2! I am begining to think that we are raising some sort of Man/Ape child. After quickly taking care of the "situation" the Man child, amused with his accomplishment, let me put on his footed PJ's. After brushing his teeth, I am happy to report, he is now in bed. With glass of wine in hand, all I can think of is at least it was not as bad as what happened last week when he had the "runs" and had a run in with our white carpet! Yes, Stanley Steamer is my best friend....
Introduction
Hello everyone. I guess if you are reading this you are interested in the same things I am interested in. Such as being a Stay at Home Mom, finding great deals on anything, making crafts, cooking and living within your means. I started this blog, first time blogging ever, in hopes of sharing my views and knowledge on how to do all of the above mentioned things. Most of all, I can show you my unique way of doing it all Cheaply or within a budget.
A little back round on myself. I am 35 years old and have been married for 8 years and have a 15 month old son. He is my main reason for sharing my knowledge. I have a college education and have through a series of events, made the decision to be a.......HOMEMAKER!!!!! I know, in this day and age, an educated woman staying at home to raise children and take care of the home. Let me say that this is by far the HARDEST JOB I have ever had. It never stops, 24 -7 or if you prefer 31. BUT, I would not give it up for anything. I will share with you my favorite links for saving on just about anything, show you pictures of my Custom Cakes, tell you what bargains I got at the SA Boutique (a.k.a. Salvation Army Thrift Store), what's on the menu and how to find coupons to save on your grocery store trip, and most importantly stories on my adventures on raising one energetic, curious child. So check back regularly to see what is new on my blog....
